Toastmasters General – the building block or driver to success.

Improving  one’s communication  skills is not unlike the key to success in his chosen field of endeavor.

Let’s face it. No man is an island. No one can keep to himself, avoid person to person contact, be in the worst social state imaginable by being an outcast or a recluse – and expect a good life!

Put another way, if there are persons out there who gets the "hee-bie-jee-bies” or a feeling/sense of nervousness, butterflies in the stomach merely having a one- on-one talk with another person/s - the more daunting and scary it is to face and speak before a public. You've been in that situation before, right!

Being in the real estate business, it is a do or die thing for me! I had to be an effective communicator – convincing, confident, persuasive and with a positive outlook whether in personal relations,business or public speaking scene.

The lack of confidence/other obstacles to effective communication obviously need a quick fix to turn around gloom and doom and negatives into positives.

Lo and behold! Toastmasters International, I found out to my great delight, can provide that much needed shot-in-the-arm in achieving one’s goals. Learning by doing workshops, meeting participants, giving impromptu talks or assigned topics – are some helpful, confidence-building tools in its bag of tricks. Just what the doctor ordered! I know because I learned and continue to hone my craft doing it the Toastmasters International’s way.
