Hawaiian Information Service had recently come out with the results of the 1^st Quarter Property Sales Statistics on the Big Island. The great news:  property sales exhibited an “upward movement” – with “business properties” sales leading the trend.

Quite an achievement considering that real estate sales in Mainland USA is flat. And meriting big smiles and thumbs up signs among those in the trade and which should work as confidence-builder among the proverbial home owners and investors in Hawaii.

Improving  one’s communication  skills is not unlike the key to success in his chosen field of endeavor.

Let’s face it. No man is an island. No one can keep to himself, avoid person to person contact, be in the worst social state imaginable by being an outcast or a recluse – and expect a good life!

Put another way, if there are persons out there who gets the "hee-bie-jee-bies” or a feeling/sense of nervousness, butterflies in the stomach merely having a one- on-one talk with another person/s - the more daunting and scary it is to face and speak before a public. I did it! One of the super high adventures of my life! I joined and finished the 2013 Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon with great fanfare!  Well, at least the “swim leg” of the triathlon – swimming being the sport I fancy and indulge in.

A top tourist draw – it is a nature preserve, sanctuary and study center for tropical tress and plants from the four corners of the world. Just about nowhere else can you see exotic flowers in an exuberance of color scent, size and shape. And perhaps be lucky to catch the flowers unfold its full beauty before your very eyes. And with such “piece-d-resistance” as breath-taking waterfalls and the iconic Tiki God feasted upon at your beck and call. You can’t be faulted in calling it a magical creation only a God can do!
